What languages do you translate?
We cover 40+ language pairs with a focus on European languages including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese. We also handle Asian languages including Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic.
How do you ensure translation accuracy?
Every project goes through a two-step quality process: translation by a specialist in the subject area, followed by a separate proofread by a second native speaker. For technical and legal documents, we use domain-specific terminology glossaries. We also work to ISO 17100 standards on professional projects.
What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is accompanied by a signed statement from the translator confirming that the translation is a true and accurate rendering of the original. It is required for official documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, academic qualifications, contracts and court documents submitted to German or international authorities.
How long does a translation take?
For a standard document of up to 2,000 words, five working days is our default. For the Standard and Professional packages, three-day and priority delivery are available. Urgent requests can often be handled within 24 hours with an expedited surcharge. Interpreting assignments need to be booked at least two weeks in advance for planning.
Do you handle rush or weekend translation?
Yes. The 24-hour rush delivery add-on covers translation received before 14:00 on weekdays, with delivery by 14:00 the following business day. Weekend handling is available for legal and official translation with prior arrangement. Rates are the same as standard with the rush surcharge applied.
Can you work with any file format?
We accept Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, InDesign, XLIFF, HTML, JSON and most common formats. Scanned documents can be processed but may take slightly longer due to OCR requirements. We return files in the same format unless a different format is specified.
How are prices calculated?
Our package pricing is based on word count of the source document. The word count determines which package applies. Complex layouts, certified copies and rush delivery are available as add-ons. For large-volume or recurring projects, we offer framework pricing agreements.
Do you specialise in any industries?
Yes. Our strongest areas are engineering and industrial documentation, legal and financial texts, pharmaceutical and life sciences content, and digital product and marketing localisation. These reflect the industries most common among our clients in the Baden-Wurttemberg and wider German market.
