Machine translation (MT) output has improved significantly, but it still produces predictable errors: false cognates, idiomatic failures, technical register problems and inconsistent terminology. MT post-editing is the process of correcting those errors efficiently, drawing on the MT speed advantage while ensuring the output meets the quality standard a human translator would produce.
We offer two levels of post-editing. Light post-editing corrects critical errors and ensures the text is intelligible and factually accurate. Full post-editing brings the translation to the same quality standard as a human translation, addressing stylistic issues, naturalness and consistency alongside accuracy.
Post-editing is particularly cost-effective for large-volume technical documentation, e-commerce product descriptions and content where speed and volume matter more than literary quality. For high-value marketing content or legal text, full human translation remains the more reliable choice.
Post-editing timelines depend on volume and level. Light post-editing can deliver same-day for up to 5,000 words in many cases.
